About Cath
Cath Evans, born in South Wales, now living in Sussex , has always been a “bit of a tom boy” and had a love of cars.
When she got her Mitsubishi Evo V in 1999, this led her to test out what fun could be had on a track in your own car. Track days were being more frequented both in the car and on her GSXR 600.
2002 saw the purchase of a Mitsubishi Evo VII and slowly the car was transformed from being used for work on a daily basis to becoming a track/sprint car. Cath competed in the MRL club sprints mainly against men, and with each event was not just making up the numbers, but at 1 event came 3rd.
Cath heard about the Formula Woman championship, and in 2007 became one of the final 16 entrants and her racing began in Caterhams. Finishing 10th in the championship. Cath looked at what championships were out there which she could compete in 2008, this time with a roof so she kept dry if it rained!
Her search led her to the Kuhmo BMW Championship and 2008 saw Cath enter her 2nd season racing with this championship in her E30 M3.
